Dear Backers,
First of all, we hope you are all well and healthy. Luckily, on our side we can say that both we and our families are all goods. Almost one month has passed since our last update, so we wanted to give you some news.
As you know, during this past month the worldwide situation related to the COVID-19, sadly, has worsened. Whit our last update on March the 3rd, we never had imagined that the situation in Italy, especially here in Milan where we live, would have become so critical. At the moment, we are the most affected country in the world with the highest death toll. Since March 9th, we are on lockdown, and we can only exit from home to go to the supermarket, pharmacy or for real necessity and health circumstances. All factories, except those producing essential goods for the country, are closed. We know that by now many of you are in the same situation as us.
We are trying, as far as possible, to carry on our work as usual. Luckily, modern technologies help a lot with this. However, the closure of the factories prevents us from carrying out a lot of activities that were pending. As we already told you in our last update, our production process includes several steps in various parts of the world, from here in Italy to Asia. From raw material supply, final prototype testing to final assembly. All these aspects need a full working operation. On the one hand, the situation in China during the past month has improved and slowly they are coming back almost to normal. On the other hand, here in Italy the situation collapsed.
Everything is changing day by day and the pandemic was far from predictable.
For all the above, we, regrettably, realized that at the moment we are unable to provide a realistic estimate date of the delivery for the new Master Collection. We are deeply sorry about that. We don't know when the factories will reopen, and when they will, we should still make sure they are 100% operational and that they can produce according to our quality standards. We don't want to give you random dates but, of course, it remains our primary objective to deliver as soon as possible, always being respectful of our quality standards. We hope that you will appreciate our sincerity and you embrace this choice.
Obviously, among our priorities at the moment, there is always to keep you informed and updated on possible developments. As soon as we have news, we will keep you informed.
We hope that the situation will soon return to normal everywhere in the world.
